"I've literally been yelled at by an agent for simply asking when I could expect to be paid the money I was owed. I worked for four months straight for a big designer and it took 10 months to be paid. Agencies often claim that clients are slow to pay and that they can't pay the models until they've been paid themselves. Whether that's true is unclear since there is no financial transparency. Regardless, we shouldn't have to wait months to be paid or be shamed for inquiring about our finances. The power struggle between the agency and the model needs to be addressed. This is a business it should be treated as such.”
